I’m Legan Ray, a writer captivated by the poetry of pleasure and pain. A bit of an anthropophobe, I find comfort in books because people often exhaust me. With a background in biology and neurophysiology, I’m drawn to the unheard places within the mind—the silent players shaping our actions and perceptions not connected to language center. While many claim space is the final frontier, I disagree. In my experience working with homeless victims of violence and addiction, I saw firsthand that we know more about the cosmos than we do about the depths of the human mind. I believe the mind is the true frontier, an unexplored wilderness full of breathtaking splendor.
In my stories, I venture into that unknown, pushing characters to their breaking points—and sometimes beyond—to capture the raw beauty revealed by pain. I explore this uncomfortable frontier to soothe my restless soul.
Here is a picture that is definitely me.
